I know it's a bit late to talk about this topic since this news came out on the 2nd day on CNY.I saw this on new paper "ARROY taiwanese celebrity apologises to Singaporeans for his comments on blogI went to search for the clip there after and after watching i went " o_0",do we speak like that?Hmm maybe older generations do since they are not educated but unlikely younger generations.

We do speak singlish but it just how we communicate with our friends,family etc.It makes the conversation lively and friendly.However most educated singaporeans do code switching.Meaning we speak proper english when needed,you don't see us speaking singlish in our 0 level oral do you?My cousin said this is call POt calling kettle black!Hahaha and my uncle added "don't you know those celebrity who comment are ignorants fool that have never read about singapore's cultural before".Another cousin then said,perhaps they can write into Singapore Tourism board to get a guide book about Singapore.+_+
